Big Foot

martin-stivesBIGFOOT:   The name given to a cryptid simian-, ape-, hominid-, or Hominin-like creature that is said to inhabit forests, mainly in the Pacific Northwest region of North America.  Bigfoot is usually described as a large, hairy, bipedal humanoid. Wikipedia

WRITER:   1. A person who has written something or who writes in a particular way.  1.1. A person who writes books, stories or articles as a job or occupation.  The Oxford Dictionary.

The first is quite possibly only the figment of over active imagination and folklore.  The second is probably the world’s greatest gift to mankind, and the only reason we have any record of our past.  Writers have recorded and told the very fabric of our lives since the first being made a mark in the sand.

BigFoot, the pseudonym and long-time nickname of the author.  Born May 1963 and currently living on the World famous Palm Jumeirah in Dubai.  It has been an interesting and colourful life for the writer, having spent most of it permanently on the move.  Never resting for more than a couple of years in any particular country.  And spending too much of that time traveling elsewhere.

The writer struggled for so long to find a place to call home, it’s strange that he is finally at peace in such a wonderfully fast moving and exciting place.  They say ninety-five-percent of those who live there are not local, but merely passing through.  Perhaps as a wanderer it is why he feels so at home in such a City; one permanently in state of flux and change.  Dubai is a progressive and modern City embracing technology and the real jewel at the tip of the Arabian Peninsula.  Arts and literature are extremely well promoted and supported in this multicultural and tolerant society.  Dubai is where East truly meets West, with its two major international airports it is a modern gateway to the world.  The United Arab Emirates offers opportunity and inspiration to any and all visitors and is a great place for a traveller to rest a while.  “And as for my views on its financial system, never have I seen a better place for stability and prosperity going forward than Dubai.”  BigFoot 2016.
